The series “Serres”<\/em><\/strong> by Giorgos Kapoutzidis returns with a second season that already from its first teaser sends a clear, proud message: love has no labels<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n

Giorgos Kapoutzidis, a creator who has for years been identified with the defense of diversity, does not just stop at words. Through his actions, his public stance and his work, he is one of the most emblematic voices for LGBTQI+ visibility<\/strong> in Greece. \u201cSerres\u201d<\/em><\/strong> , perhaps his most personal television creation, returns to continue this dialogue \u2013 this time even bolder, more mature and with more… pride. <\/p>\n\n

A teaser full of meaning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In the first teaser for the second season, we see Odysseus \u2013 now played by Giorgos Zygouris \u2013 pondering whether to place a small Pride flag on the counter of the gay caf\u00e9 he is opening in Serres. He says with reflection: \u201cIt is suicidal to characterize a shop as gay in the Greek countryside. Our marketing has to be very discreet.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

And then, the series does what it always does best: subverts stereotypes. A huge Pride flag covers the storefront, while Aunt Stamatina’s distinctive voice is heard from a duduka: “Come to the first gay cafe in Serres!”<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n
