In one of the most shocking television confessions of recent years, actress Marina Kalogirou<\/strong> spoke publicly about the sexual abuse she suffered in her childhood, breaking the silence that weighs on thousands of children and adults to this day.<\/p>\n\n

Invited to the show ” Better Later”<\/strong><\/em> on Action 24<\/strong> , the actress revealed that she was sexually abused from the age of 4 to 14<\/strong> by four different men<\/strong> – two family friends and two relatives. As she stated characteristically: “The abuse I experienced was not only psychological and physical. It was sexual. From the age of 4 to 14. By 4 different men. One of them abused me continuously.”<\/em> <\/p>\n\n

Kalogirou spoke candidly about the internal battle<\/strong> she fought for years, trying to convince herself that she had overcome the trauma. Marina emphasized that, despite the intensity and duration of the abuse, she had never consciously “blocked” her memories, she simply embellished<\/strong> them: “I have a flag of truth and suddenly I realized that I was lying to myself. Through embellishment, my psychotherapist and I found the truth. I was living a horrible situation that I pretended not to be living, I kept quiet and created my own imaginary way.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n

This revelation has a powerful impact on society as a whole.
