The 1st Conference titled \u201cVolunteering 2030: Institutions, Society, and Democratic Resilience\u201d aims to highlight volunteering as a key pillar of a society that embraces diversity and promotes inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event, which will take place on Sunday, March 22, is not merely a forum for dialogue, but an opportunity to redefine how we perceive civic participation. The focus is on the transition from fragmented actions to an organized framework that ensures that everyone\u2014regardless of age, gender, background, or social status\u2014has a voice and a role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference topics address critical issues directly linked to inclusion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the creation of an institutional framework that excludes no one<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>strengthening social cohesion in times of crisis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>transparency and the social impact of actions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the active participation of young people and education in a culture of acceptance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the role of local government in creating open and accessible communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the use of digital innovation to ensure equal opportunities for participation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main objective is to develop the \u201cAttica Volunteering Roadmap 2030\u201d and the White Paper, with an emphasis on policies that promote equality, representation, and social justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias emphasized that volunteering can serve as a tool for community empowerment when it is based on everyone\u2019s participation. A society becomes more resilient when it gives every citizen the opportunity to contribute, recognizing their uniqueness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For his part, Mayor Yannis Moralis emphasized that volunteering is an act of social solidarity that can bridge differences and create a city that is more humane and open to all.
