An important initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace was presented on Thursday, April 2, 2026, as part of an event organized by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family in collaboration with the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aim of the event was to inform businesses about the \u201cDiversity Label,\u201d a modern tool that aims to promote equal opportunities and highlight the importance of inclusion in the business environment. Through an innovative digital assessment process, private-sector companies have the opportunity to be recognized for the policies they implement in support of inclusion and diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Elena Rapti, emphasized that promoting equality and inclusion is a strategic choice with significant social and economic impact, noting that the \u201cDiversity Label\u201d provides businesses with the appropriate tools to translate these values into practices with measurable results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On behalf of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), First Vice President Sofia Kounenaki Efremoglou highlighted the Chamber\u2019s role in supporting initiatives that promote inclusion, noting that diversity is not only a social necessity but also a key factor in sustainable development and competitiveness for businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Particular emphasis was also placed on the creation of the National Diversity Index, as presented by the Secretary General for Equality and Human Rights, Katerina Patsogianni. This index is expected to serve as an important tool for designing future policies and actions in the field of equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, the benefits for companies that receive the \u201cDiversity Label\u201d were highlighted, such as strengthening corporate identity, promoting innovation through diversity, and aligning with modern principles of sustainability and corporate governance (ESG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event concluded with an open discussion and a presentation of best practices by market representatives, highlighting how diversity and inclusion can be meaningfully applied in the day-to-day operations of businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
