The event is co-organized with the City of Warsaw and supported by a wide network of institutional, business, and media partners. <\/p>\n\n<p>This year\u2019s central theme is <strong>\u201cFreedom\u201d<\/strong>, with the guiding question: <em>\u201cHow much does freedom cost?\u201d<\/em> The conference brings together representatives from academia, the arts, NGOs, and the business sector to explore whether the world is on the brink of a new form of authoritarianism, whether art can be authentic without freedom, and how modern systems\u2014from algorithms to economic structures\u2014shape human autonomy.<\/p>\n\n<p>The 2026 edition reflects on the meaning of freedom in the 21st century and its boundaries across politics, law, technology, psychology, and culture. Freedom is presented not as a fixed condition, but as a value that requires constant vigilance, dialogue, and courage. <\/p>\n\n<p>Participants will engage in discussions on how autonomy is shaped by governing systems, how artificial intelligence influences society, and how freedom contributes to personal and collective identity in a rapidly changing world.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Program Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The event will feature a full day of debates, panels, and keynote speeches. Distinguished speakers include Karolina Wigura, Natalia de Barbaro, Tomasz Sobierajski, Wojciech Glaca, and Krzysztof Czy\u017cewski. As in previous years, an Oxford-style debate will be held\u2014this time on the proposition: <strong>\u201cMoney gives freedom\u201d<\/strong>, moderated by Grzegorz Nawrocki.  <\/p>\n\n<p>A recorded interview with Anne Applebaum will also be presented.<\/p>\n\n<p>The honorary guest of the conference will be former President of Poland Lech Wa\u0142\u0119sa.<\/p>\n\n<p>Among the invited speakers are prominent figures from academia, journalism, culture, and civic society, including Rafa\u0142 Betlejewski, Irena Dawid-Olczyk, W\u0142adys\u0142aw Frasyniuk, S\u0142awomir Grzelczak, Pawe\u0142 Kaczmarczyk, Renata Kim, Cezary \u0141azarewicz, J\u0119drzej Malko, Anna Orska, Karol Radziszewski, Joanna Rajkowska, Joanna Sadzik, Katarzyna Sek\u015bci\u0144ska, Stach Szab\u0142owski, and Micha\u0142 Ziemiak.<\/p>\n\n<p>The 13th NNO Conference is an invitation to reflect on how to live in a world where freedom is both a fundamental value and an ongoing challenge. It offers a unique opportunity to deepen understanding of the social, political, and cultural mechanisms shaping contemporary reality, while meeting inspiring voices and ideas. <\/p>\n\n<p>During the conference, the eighth volume of <em>\u201cConversations on Responsibility: Freedom\u201d<\/em> will be launched.<\/p>\n\n<p>Participation in the conference is free of charge.
