From equality to resistance , and from inclusion to subversion, this year’s event doesn’t play tricks on anyone. It directly asks questions:
What do we do when the values we took for granted – like acceptance, pluralism, the freedom to be yourself – are under siege?
How do we build a future that leaves no one behind, neither in words nor in deeds?
This year’s themes:
- “This is not a woman’s job” : Why male-dominated spaces need female voices and not more patronage.
- “Woke in Progress” : An honest confrontation with the misunderstood meaning of “woke”, between necessity and excess.
- “Disability and accessibility” : No more “inclusion” without ramps and representation.
- LGBTQI+ rights in times of conservative turmoil
- Stories of 1st and 2nd generation immigrants who don’t apologize for their success
- And of course: the hidden, invisible work of women behind every success that “didn’t happen anything great.”
🧩 Among the participants:
Artists, politicians, journalists, scientists, activists – from Dimitris Papaioannou and Katerina Vrana , to Akis Schertsos , Marina Satti , Niki Lymberaki , Anna Diamantopoulou , Aris Dimokides and many others who have a say and a voice.
Because, as the title says:
“Upfront” means forward. And no change is coming from the back seat.
