On the occasion of International Women’s Day in Diplomacy, the Office of the Commissioner for Gender Equality announces the launch of the campaign entitled:
“Women’s Stories – Women in Diplomacy”.
The campaign is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and gives voice to 11 female role models, members of the Foreign Service, who share the experiences, challenges and importance of female participation in the diplomatic sector.
Through this initiative, an attempt is made to inform and encourage young women to pursue a career in diplomacy, contributing substantially to the decision-making processes that shape the future of our country.
This action is part of the series of thematic campaigns “Women’s Stories”, which are implemented by the Office of the Commissioner for Gender Equality in collaboration with relevant ministries and deputy ministries. The aim of the campaigns is to strengthen the presence of women in professional sectors where they are underrepresented and, more broadly, to promote the equal participation of women and men in all areas of social and public life.
