The wait is finally over! After dozens of inspiring applications from across Europe, we are excited to announce the finalists for the European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity 2025 Award! The competition was fierce, with cities and local authorities showcasing their outstanding efforts to create more inclusive and diverse communities.
The qualification of the Municipality of Platanias and the Municipality of Komotini is important for Greece, which is practical proof that things are starting to change in our country.

🏠 Special Award for Inclusive Housing:
This is a new category that rewards cities with innovative housing policies for all. The finalists include: Braga, Francavilla Fontana, Gualdo Tadino, Parada de Sil, Salzburg, San Xoán de Río, Usurbil and Zaragoza.
🔹 Komotini and Platanias: Greece Takes the Lead Komotini is recognized for its multicultural footprint and its policy of inclusion of the Muslim minority, while Platanias in Crete stands out for strengthening social cohesion and access to services for all.
📅 These cities will present their actions at an event to be held on April 29 in Brussels, where the winners will be announced and good practices in inclusion and diversity will be celebrated.
