On April 3rd, The Romanian Diversity Charter hosted a series of interactive workshops at Orange, under the CAREvolution Capacity Building Modules, bringing together around 30 signatory organizations to create an authentic space for learning, exchanging ideas, and co-creating solutions.
The discussions explored how work-life balance policies can be better tailored, the connection between wellbeing and performance, the role of men in caregiving and work–life balance, as well as gender stereotypes, unconscious bias, and the importance of integrating a gender perspective into organizational policies.
Beyond theory, the sessions focused on practice: participants tested concrete tools, analyzed real-life examples, and openly discussed what truly works within organizations.
A key takeaway emerged clearly: we cannot build equitable organizations without data. Decisions need to be grounded in real evidence, not assumptions. At the same time, raising awareness of biases, using inclusive language, and implementing clear and actionable gender equality policies remain essential steps.
These approaches and tools support the development of meaningful measures and contribute to creating lasting, sustainable change within organizations.
