In an era when political decisions shape the lives of millions of people, the data leaves no room for misinterpretation: tough immigration policies are losing favor with the very citizens they are supposed to represent. According to a recent Ipsos/Reuters national poll, just 28% of Americans view mass arrests of immigrants in the workplace as a positive thing. The majority, 54% , disagree—a clear message.

Beyond the numbers, however, there are lives. In one of these “raids,” a farm worker in California lost his life. Behind every arrest, every deportation, every political decision, there are faces, families, hopes. Human value cannot be measured in terms of borders or documents. There are no “illegal people” – only unjust policies.

Diversity is not a problem to be solved. It is part of the identity of every modern society. From the economy to culture, the contribution of immigrants is a foundation for progress and development. When people are persecuted for seeking a better tomorrow, when we treat them with repression and fear, then we lose something deeper: our humanity.

In the movement for inclusion , there are no “neutral” positions. Every silence is complicit. Every voice raised in favor of equality, dignity, and respect is one step closer to a society that belongs to all.

We stand with immigrants. We stand with every person who is marginalized. Let’s create a world that embraces difference , not fears it. An inclusive world, where no one lives in fear of repression because they are “foreign.” A world where we all belong .
