An event focusing on diversity and inclusion, co-organized by the Ministry of Social Cohesion & Family and the Ministry of the Interior (Macedonia–Thrace).
The event was organized at the initiative of the Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, responsible for Equality and Human Rights, Elena Rapti, in collaboration with the Deputy Minister of the Interior (Macedonia–Thrace) Konstantinos P. Gioulekas, as part of efforts to promote equality, acceptance of diversity, and the strengthening of an inclusive society.
During the event, distinguished women from various professional and social spheres shared their experiences, highlighting the importance of equal participation for all, regardless of gender, origin, or social background. Through their remarks, challenges, opportunities, and best practices that promote inclusion in the workplace, education, and social life were highlighted.
The discussion was moderated by journalist Christina Kanataki.
Deputy Minister Elena Rapti stated: “Diversity is not an obstacle, but a source of strength for progress and innovation. A society that respects and includes all voices is a fairer, more resilient, and more creative society. The State must strengthen policies that ensure equal opportunities for all and foster an environment of acceptance and respect.”
For his part, Deputy Minister Konstantinos P. Gioulekas noted: “ Inclusion and respect for diversity are fundamental pillars of a modern democratic society. Eliminating stereotypes and discrimination is the responsibility of us all, so that every person can participate equally and actively in all areas of social and economic life.”
The event highlighted the importance of collective effort in creating a society that embraces diversity and promotes inclusion as the foundations of sustainable development and social cohesion.
