Municipalities that support an inclusive society

2 Min Read

From Larissa to Aigaleo and Ilion, local communities and their organizations are proving that inclusion is not just a theory but a daily choice. Through initiatives that bring together citizens, students, and organizations, municipalities are emerging as pillars of social cohesion.

Whether through an Easter card or a game played together on the field, the message is the same: a society that welcomes everyone is a stronger, more humane, and fairer society.

Meaningful Easter cards from the Larissa Autism Association

This year, the message of the Resurrection takes on deeper meaning through an initiative by the Larissa Autism Association, which is selling Easter cards to support its work.

This initiative combines tradition with social contribution. The cards convey not only well-wishes, but also a powerful message of support for people with autism and their families. With each choice, citizens:

  • express their love in a meaningful way,
  • support programs and initiatives,
  • actively promote inclusion and social acceptance.

Small actions, such as a card, can bring about big changes.

“Let’s Play Together!”: A celebration of sports and equality

For the third consecutive year, the National Center for Students with Visual Impairments and Multiple Disabilities, in collaboration with the Special Junior and Senior High School of Ilion, is organizing the major inclusive sports event “Let’s Play Together!”

On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, students from mainstream and special education will come together on the field, not as different, but as equals. Through sports, they build bridges of cooperation and acceptance, proving that inclusion can be a lived experience.
