When the rhetoric against diversity starts in the White House, the tide never stays within borders. According to a report by eKathimerini , the Trump administration’s new crusade against Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) policies has already crossed the Atlantic – and reached Greece.

Greek companies and organizations that maintain partnerships with the US Embassy or with US funds have received unofficial recommendations to “freeze” DEI programs, or at least to tone down actions related to inclusion and affirmative action.

Although no official announcement has been issued, this silent pressure creates concern and concern . How independent are a country’s inclusion strategies when they depend on international interests? And what is Greece’s position in this ideological export of conservatism?

“The pressure is not formal – it is cultural and geopolitical. If DEI actions are being withdrawn because they upset the new majority in the US, then Europe and especially Greece should react, not adapt,” said an NGO executive who participated in a recent international integration program.

The rhetoric of “political correctness gone too far” is making a comeback from the most conservative voices internationally, but this time it’s not just accompanied by tweets – it’s accompanied by cuts, pressures, and shadowy censorship.

Diversity is not an “imported product” – it is a right. And no one should have the power to put it on hold.
