Vivian Wilson, Elon Musk’s transgender daughter, made a powerful and deeply political appearance on the Los Angeles drag scene, participating in an event in support of immigrants and against her father’s policies.
At 21, Wilson made her first drag show appearance, taking the stage at The Bellwether wearing a dazzling catsuit, black boots, and a look that exuded confidence and artistic power. Her appearance included a proud display of the transgender flag, sending a strong message for transgender visibility.
The event, titled “SAVE HER! — an Environmental Drag Show,” was organized by drag activist Pattie Gonia and was intended to raise money for legal support for immigrants affected by recent ICE raids. All proceeds went to a legal fund.
Wilson shared her joy on Instagram, writing:
“I fulfilled a lifelong dream. Thank you all for an experience that changed my life, while we helped those in need,” accompanying her message with photos from the performance.
The audience’s reactions were moving, full of enthusiasm and support:
“You were incredible. The wildest drag debut! You are a diva!” they wrote in the comments.
Wilson has been outspoken about her disagreements with her father’s positions on gender identity issues, repeatedly expressing the need to disengage from his public image. In an interview, she said:
“I don’t care about him at all. It’s annoying that people associate me with him.”
Instead, she has turned her attention to her own path, building an activist and artistic path that honors her identity, supports other marginalized people, and celebrates diversity with passion.
