The Inclusion@ Work Festival, the major initiative by the City of Athens to connect the job market with people facing barriers in their professional careers, has concluded with great success, demonstrating in practice that inclusion can be a driving force for social progress and professional development.
The event, organized by the City of Athens’ Job Center at the Serafio, brought together businesses, social organizations, NGOs, and job seekers for a day filled with networking, collaboration, and meaningful employment opportunities.

The support provided by KEAN was particularly significant – Diversity Charter was particularly significant, as it actively contributed to promoting the values of diversity, equality, and inclusive employment, substantially strengthening the creation of a common space for dialogue and cooperation between businesses and society. Through his contribution, the importance of organizations’ commitment to creating inclusive work environments was once again highlighted.
The Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, emphasized the importance of creating real opportunities for everyone, stressing that the goal remains a city that invests in social inclusion and leaves no one behind.
During the festival, meetings were held between companies and job seekers, along with co-creation workshops, presentations of collaborative initiatives, and open networking events, demonstrating in practice how diversity is a source of creativity, innovation, and growth.

The Inclusion@Work Festival demonstrated that when public bodies, businesses, and civil society organizations work together with a shared vision, they can create meaningful opportunities for employment and social inclusion for everyone.
The success of the event underscores the need for even more initiatives that promote equal access to employment and foster a work environment where diversity is recognized as a strength and an asset.
