THEO (Exercise THERapy assistant dOgs) (ID: 101185240) is an educational video game developed in the context of the homonymous European Erasmus+ Sport programme (Project number: 101185240) and serves as an innovative tool that combines learning with entertainment. Its goal is to transform scientific research and children’s ideas into an interactive digital experience that promotes healthy daily habits, physical exercise with dogs, emotional well-being, and education around animal welfare..
Through an interactive gaming experience, children, young people, and families have the opportunity to discover the benefits of exercising with their dog in an enjoyable and creative way.
The creation of THEO was based on the need to strengthen healthy habits that can be sustained over time as well as to promote physical activity through interaction with animals. At the same time, it aims to strengthen the bond between humans and dogs, while cultivating responsibility and awareness regarding proper pet care. The game is part of a broader European initiative that aims to improve quality of life through sport and physical activity with the help of animals.
Its development involved the participation of children and adolescents from different countries, who actively contributed ideas and suggestions. In this way, the game is not only educational but also engaging, age-appropriate, and based on real data.
