On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the EU Diversity Charter Platform and following a decision by the European Commission in 2020, May has been established as European Diversity Month. In this context, with the participation of the 27 national Diversity Charters, as well as numerous businesses, bodies and organizations from across Europe, actions dedicated to promoting equality, inclusion and respect for Diversity are carried out.

The main objective of the European Diversity Month is to raise awareness about the importance of diversity and the uniqueness of each person, promoting inclusion not only in the workplace, but also in society as a whole. Through information, education and dialogue actions, the value of acceptance and equal participation of all, without discrimination, is highlighted, strengthening a culture of respect and equal opportunities for all.

On the occasion of the 6th year of the European Diversity Month and the International Day against LGBTI+phobia – IDAHOBIT (17 May) , Diversity Charter Greece is organizing the open event Open Diversity Day , aiming to raise awareness among Greek businesses and organizations on issues of human rights, equality, equity and inclusion . Through experiential discussions with people sharing personal experiences, as well as presentations of good practices by representatives of member businesses of the Diversity Charter, the importance of meaningful integration and acceptance of diversity is highlighted both in the workplace and in society as a whole.
