Extension of the application deadline for the digital empowerment program: A step toward inclusive inclusion

The deadline for submitting applications for the Pilot Program “Digital Education and Empowerment of Older Adults and People with Disabilities,” enhancing access for all citizens in the modern digital age and promoting diversity and inclusion.

The program is funded by the Recovery Fund, as part of a collaboration between the Ministries of Social Cohesion and Family and of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, with IN.E.S. and EDYTE S.A.

  • For citizens over the age of 65: until March 18, 2026 (11:59 p.m.)
  • For people with disabilities (≥50%): by March 22, 2026 (11:59 p.m.)

The extension is intended to help more beneficiaries, particularly those who face barriers to accessing education and technology.

Empowerment through knowledge

The program aims to bridge the digital divide and promote equal participation in society. Participants acquire practical skills that make their daily lives easier, such as:

  • use of digital communication apps
  • electronic payments
  • use of gov.gr services
  • social media engagement

Structures and Participation

For citizens over the age of 65:

  • 120 Digital Empowerment Hubs are currently in operation

  • 3,600 people will benefit
  • Duration: 70 hours (in-person)

  • There are 74 hubs in operation across the country
  • 2,800 people will benefit
  • Duration: 80 hours (in-person)
  • Transportation assistance is provided in special cases

How to apply

Interested parties may submit an application via the empower.gov.gr platform using their personal TaxisNet credentials. The application may be submitted either by the beneficiary themselves or by an authorized representative.
